Elon Musk's AI chat bot Grok account was briefly suspended, causing confusion and heated discussion.
[Golden Finance] On Monday afternoon local time, the official X account of Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot under Elon Musk, was temporarily banned. The account was restored a few minutes after the ban. Regarding the reason for the ban, Grok provided a series of contradictory explanations, including insisting that "the images are fabricated" when responding to user-provided screenshots of the ban, and stating that "the account has been unbanned and is functioning normally"; acknowledging the ban in an English response, claiming the reason was "involvement in anti-Semitic hate speech"; while another English response stated, "banned for pointing out the genocide being perpetrated by Israel and the U.S. in Gaza." After the incident, Musk joked in a post: "We really do often shoot ourselves in the foot!" He later referred to Grok's chaotic explanations as a "stupid mistake," stating that the chatbot actually did not understand the reason for the ban.
