ChatGPT mobile app revenue surpasses 2 billion USD, far exceeding competitors by 30 times.
On August 18, the latest analysis from application intelligence provider Appfigures shows that since its launch in May 2023, the revenue of the ChatGPT iOS and Android apps has reached $2 billion globally. The analysis indicates that this figure is about 30 times the total revenue of ChatGPT's competitors (including Claude, Copilot, and Grok) on mobile.
Data shows that so far this year, the ChatGPT mobile application has generated revenue of 1.35 billion dollars, a year-on-year increase of 673% compared to 174 million dollars during the same period in 2024 (January to July). The application averages nearly 193 million dollars in monthly revenue, up from 25 million dollars last year.
