As someone born in the 1980s, I have been deeply engaged in the Crypto Assets field for nearly a decade. For people in my age group, we have long passed the stage where pure enthusiasm can lead to success in the market. In this circle filled with youthful energy, those born in the 1990s and 2000s show admirable courage and drive, but when it comes to the ups and downs of the market, we 1980s folks indeed have some unique insights and experiences.

We personally experienced the frenzy of the ICO boom in 2017, survived the shocking crash on March 12, 2020, and witnessed the glorious journey of Bitcoin rising from a few thousand dollars to sixty thousand dollars. These experiences have allowed us to maintain a calmer and more rational attitude in the face of market fluctuations.

In the Crypto Assets circle, there is a saying that 'anyone born in the 80s can easily possess tens of millions in assets.' While this may be somewhat exaggerated, there is some truth to it. However, I want to emphasize that in this market, short-term success does not guarantee long-term stability.

I have a friend who, during the crash on March 12, 2020, turned a principal of $2000 into hundreds of times that amount with great courage and a bit of luck. At that time, people in the circle called him the 'lucky one'. Unfortunately, he later lost heavily due to overconfidence in high-leverage trading, not only giving back all of his previous profits but also losing most of his principal.

This example made me deeply realize: in the Crypto Assets market, being aggressive may bring temporary glory, but only being steady can ensure long-term success. My investment journey is completely different from that of the above friend. In 2015, I entered the coin circle with 100,000 yuan that I had saved for many years. At that time, the price of Bitcoin was only a few thousand yuan, and Ethereum had just started.

Reflecting on this experience, I deeply feel the importance of maintaining rationality and patience in this ever-changing market. As members of the post-80s generation, we may not react as quickly as the younger generation, but our experience and composure often provide greater advantages in long-term investments.
